Neal Nichols. For 30 years an employee of the French Paper company, Neal Nichols, 60, of 106 forest Avenue died at 7:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 1944), in his home where he had been ill eight days. He was born in Kalamazoo July 4, 1884, and came in Niles when four years old. He was married here June 2, 1917 to Florence Vandenburg. Surviving are the widow, Cassopolis; a son, Neal Nichols, Niles; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Weaver, Cassopolis; three brothers, Warren Nichols, Berrien Center, and Raymond and Charles Nichols, Niles and two sisters, Mrs. R.E. Babcock, Niles and Mrs. G.U. Bingham, South Bend. Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home where services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

Vincent A. Nichols, 61, of 1132 Sassafras Lane, died at 6:35 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 1971 in Pawating Hospital. a retired employee of Bendix Corp., Mr. Nichols was born March 9, 1909, in Hillsdale, and had lived her since 1967, coming from Edwardsburg. On March 11, 1939, in south Bend, he married Mary A. Graham, who died in 1969. he was a member of the Bendix Management club and the American Society for quality control. Survivors include a son, David G. Nichols, in Vietnam; two daughters, Martha A. Nichols of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Ron (Karen) Logan of Richland, Mich.; two brothers, Marshall of Horton, Mich., and Russell of Reading, Mich; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Moore of Hillsdale; a half-sister, Mrs. Mary E. Bell of Jonesville, Mich., and a grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Halbritter funeral Home, with Mrs. Earl Styers of the First church of Christ Christian officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials maybe given to the Niles YMCA Memorial fund.

Warren F. Nichols Nichols Funeral Survives Friday at Kiger Home. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Kiger funeral home for Warren F. Nichols, 540 Cherry Street, who died yesterday (Nov. 26, 1946, at 8:15 a.m. The Rev. T.M. Greenhoe will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Native of Kalamazoo. Nichols, 64, was born July 25, 1881, in Kalamazoo. He had been a resident of Niles 53 years, and was a former employee of the French Paper Co. he was a ember of the Eagles lodge. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Clovis Griffith, Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Babcock, Niles, and Mrs. Jane Bingham, south Bend and two brothers, Ray Nichols and Charles Nichols, both of Niles.

Florence Nichols, 32, rural route five, Niles, died this morning at 12:50 a.m. in Pawating hospital, July 1, 1948) where she had been a patient since last Saturday. She had been in ill health for the past 26 months. She leaves her husband, William, no children; her father, Daniel Emmons of Hobart, Ind.; her mother, Mrs. Terrance Newton, Niles; grandfather, Arthur Havener, Niles, and grandmother, Mrs. M. Helmick of Niles. Also surviving are sisters, Mrs. C. Johnson, South Boardman, Mich.; Mrs. Pearl Juhaz, Niles, Mrs. R.E. Reid, New Carlisle, Ind., and Mrs. K. Robinson, Niles, and brothers, Orin, Raymond, Wesley and David Carpenter, all of Niles. The descendent was born in Ashland, Wis., On Aril 23, 1915 and had lived in Niles most of her life. Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. G. A. Steeby. Burial place is undetermined.

Daniel P. Nieb, 68, native of Niles, taken by death. An illness of three weeks of heart trouble caused the death Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 17, 1940 of Daniel P. Nieb, 68, who died at 4:30 in his home at 808 Woodruff Street. Mr. Nieb had lived in Niles all his life. He was born here Sept. 2, 1872 and was married April 13, 1898 in Buchanan to Ida Linsenmier who survives. He also leaves two sons, Harold Nieb, Niles and Lester Nieb, Utica, NY. Other survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Cole and Mrs. Anna Codd, Grand Rapids, Mrs. Charles Hummer and Mrs. marguerite Snyder, South Bend and Mrs. Ida Williams, Plymouth, Ind., and three brothers, William Nieb, South Bend, George Nieb, Blooming Prairie, Minn., and Henry Nieb, Waldron, Mich. Friends may call at the Rutherford funeral home tonight and at the Nieb residence after 10 Thursday morning. Friday morning at 11 the body will be taken to the First Evangelical Church to lie in state until the hour of the funeral at 2:30.The Rev. A.R. Kuehn pastor of the church, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
