Mrs. Clarissa (Pat) Albright, 51, of 2602 Lake Shore Drive, registered nurse on staff at Pawating Hospital, died at 3 p.m. Friday at her home.

Mrs. Albright was born Oct. 17, 1910, in Montana and had lived most of her life in Niles.

Surviving are: her husband, William, a sister, Mrs. Doris Stech, Buchanan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. ;Monday in the Pifer Funeral Home with Dr. Maurice McKean, pastor of First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.

Niles News in Brief: DEATH MRS. CHRISTENSEN

Mrs. Bessie Christensen, 48, died this morning at 6 o'clock in her home on Brandywine creek on US-31. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Sampson, of Niles; a son, Myron Fey, of Detroit; her mother, Mrs. Charles Weaver, of Niles, and a sister, Mrs. John Weaver, of Dowagiac. The funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in the Price and Kiger Funeral home. Burial will be made in Silverbrook cemetery. The Rev. Harry Barnett of the Pentecostal church will conduct the services. Mrs. Christensen was a daughter of Henry Camp of Niles.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Christensen, who died yesterday at her home on Brandywine creek, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Price and Kiger chapel. Mrs. Christensen is survived by her mother, Mrs. Charles Weaver, of Niles; a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Sampson, of Jackson, Wis.; a son, Myron Fey, of Detroit; three sisters, Mrs. John Weaver of Dowagiac, Mrs. Zina Goodwin of Pitcher, Okla., and Mrs. Marshall Weaver of Niles, and by two bothers, Oliver Camp of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and William Camp of Chicago, and John Bosin of Niles, a step brother.

Mrs. Albert Kupperness, 84, of 308 E. Crawford St., Elkhart, Ind., formerly of Niles, died this morning in Elkhart General Hospital following a few days' illness. She had been in failing health for some time.

Among her survivors are her husband, two sons, a sister and several nieces and nephews, some of them in Niles.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Wally Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Lane, Hazel (Baker) 1896-1962

Mrs. Hazel Lane, 54,[sic] of 619 Sycamore St., was found dead in her home Saturday afternoon by Niles by Niles police after friends reported that she did not answer the door.

Officers said she was dead for about 12 hours when they found her in her bed at 5:15 p.m. She had been under treatment for a heart condition.

Mrs. Lane was the stepmother of Berrien Township supervisor Martin Lane.

She was born Aug. 29, 1896, in Niles. Her husband, George, died in 1947. She had been a bookkeeper with the Robert F. Habicht Automotive Agency in Buchanan.

Mrs. Lane was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, the St. Katherine's Guild, the Altar Guild and the Business and Professional Woman's Association.

Surviving in addition to Martin Lane are another step son, George Lane of grand Rapids; a step daughter, Mrs. Willard Kalina of Benton Harbor; and a brother Dan Baker of Chicago.

Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Trinity Episcopal Church with the rev. John Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Note: Date of birth/date of death stated in Obit are same as appear on Michigan Death Record and cemetery record.  Age at date of death was 66 years.

Lockard, Evelyn (Bohn) 1881-1962

Buchanan—Mrs. Evelyn Lockhard [sic], 81, 502 Days Ave., Buchanan, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday in the Una Lee Nursing Home, Jackson, where she had been transferred on Feb. 6 from Pawating Hospital, Niles.

Mrs Lockhard was born March 8, 1881, in Niles the daughter of Charles and Christine Bohn and was married on Aug. 7, 1907, in Niles to Harry C. Lockhard, former Niles City treasurer who died on Feb. 25, 1933. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Niles, and the Niles Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Coleman, Azusa Calif.; and Mrs. Ronald Bolster, Jackson; a half-sister, Miss Vera Schmidt, Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Thursday in the Swem Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert V. Gouwens, Pastor of the Buchanan Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.

Friends will be received at the funeral home.

INFANT STILLBORN

Committal services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Silverbrook Cemetery for Lois Patricia Meyers, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Meyers, 2555 Yankee St., who was stillborn at 6:29 p.m. Sunday at Pawating Hospital.

Surviving besides the parents are: two brothers, Raymond and Roger, and the grandparents, Mrs. Elizabeth Jay and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Polega, all Niles.

Arrangements were made by the Pifer Funeral Home.

INFANT DIES

Committal services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Silverbrook Cemetery for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Russell, Kalamazoo, who died minutes after birth this morning in Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. The Rev. Ralph Pletcher, pastor of Coulter's Chapel, will officiate.

Surviving besides the parents are two sisters, Patricia and Lienette, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Bybee, Niles.
