SON DIES

Mr. and Mrs. William Pollock and their grandson, Petro, 409 West Main street, received word this morning of the death of Omer Pollock, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Pollock in Ludington, Mich., Wednesday night. He was a resident of Hart, Mich., and was visiting in Ludington. The body will arrive in Niles today after which funeral arrangements will be completed.

Services Saturday for Omer R. Pollock, Niles Ex-Resident

 

Funeral services for Omer Raymond Pollock, Hart, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Pollock, Niles, will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Price and Kiger funeral home.

Rites will be conducted by the Rev. D.G. Foote, Bad Axe.  Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

Mr. Pollock was a former Niles resident. He died Wednesday in a Ludington hospital after an illness of one week.

Besides his parents he leaves his wife, the former Elizabeth Metzger, whom he married Jan. 29, 1923; two children, Janet and William and three mrothers[sic], Smyers, Dewey and Theodore, all of Niles.

Mr. Pollock was born in Walkerton, Ind.  He moved to Niles from Gary, and lived here until about three years ago when he moved to Hart.

SERVE AS PALLBEARERS

Carl Hill, Clarence Humphrey, John Pfeil, F.J. Vietz, Fred Bauer and Edward Coonrod served as pallbearers at 3 o'clock this afternoon for the funeral of Omer Raymond Pollock. Services were conducted by the Rev. D.G. Foote, Bad Axe, in the Price and Kiger funeral home with burial in Silverbrook cemetery. Mr. Pollock, a former Niles resident, died Wednesday in a Ludington hospital.
