Theodore C. Hepler, 48, of 536 Philip Road, died Sunday at 5:35 a.m., in Pawating Hospital, following a brief illness.

An employe of the National Standard Company, born April 25, 1919, Mr.Hepler moved here from Bremen, Ind., in 1945. On March 14, 1944, he married Dorothy Johnson in Bremen.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Huntly Memorial Baptist Church of which he was a member, with the Rev. John R. Tolly officiating.

A veteran of World War II, serving on the U.S.S. Missouri, he was assistant Sunday School superintendent of the church, a member of the Board of Deacons of the church, and chairman of the building committee of the church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Charles Hepler of Bremen, Ind., two daughter[sic], Miss Anna May Hepler of Battle Creek and Miss Linda Hepler of Niles; five sisters, Mrs. Wilma Carouthers, Mrs. Lucille Balsley, Mrs. Bernita Wise and Mrs. Juanita Koontz, all of Bremen, and Mrs. Marie Smith of Nappanee, Ind.; three brothers, Otho of Lakeville, Ind.; DeVoe of Tucson, Ariz.; and Don of Bourbon, Ind.

Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends are being received at the Halbritter-Swem Funeral Home.

Upon family request, all memorials may be made to the church of which he was a member.
