George A. Mong, 79, of 100 [illegible] avenue, died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday in Pawating Hospital where he had been a patient for several hours.

Mr. Mong was born Dec. 28, 1879, in Crown Point, Ind., and came to Niles in May, 1932, from Des Plaines, Ill. He had been employed in the maintenance department at the Michigan Mushroom Co. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert D. Horn and Mrs. Howard E. Wagner, both of Niles, and two granddaughters.

His wife, Lillian, preceded him in death on June 21, 1937.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Kiger-Halbritter Funeral Home with the Rev. L. George Beacock, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
