Edna R. Hartline, 76, of 25639 Pine Lake Road, Edwardsburg, died at 1:40 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 1996, in her home of natural causes. Mrs. Hartline was born Feb. 7, 1920, in Niles, and was a lifelong resident of the area. On April 11, 1936, in South Bend, she married Alvin Hartline. He survives with two daughters, Judy Swartz of Marcellus and Bonnie Finley of Edwardsburg; four sons, Jerry of Dowagiac, Dale of Cassopolis, Ron of Marcellus and Terry of Edwardsburg; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maxine Crevey of Galien, Wanda Thompson of Matthews, Ind., and Eva Atkins of Wilson, Ga.; and a brother, Burton Cheney of Nappanee. A daughter, Barbara Smith and a son, Alvin Jr., preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pifer-Smith Funeral Home, Niles. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
