MARCUS MARKS DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Employe of French Paper co. Succumbs; Funeral at 3 Friday P.M.

 

Marcus Marks, 50, died in a Kalamazoo hospital Tuesday night at 6 o'clock, after an illness extending over the last four months, of complications developing after a nervous breakdown.

Mr. Marks was born in Wabash county, Ind., Aug. 7, 1885, and came here 12 years ago from Buchanan. He was employed at the Kawneer for the first few years of this residence in Nile, afterward at the French Paper company where he worked in the beater room.

He was married March 10, 1917, to Miss Minnie Applegate at Muncie, Ind., who survives him. He leaves a son, Marcus Burnell Marks, at home, and three brothers, George, Buchanan, and Harry and Raymond, Niles.  He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Thomas Marks.

The body was brought to the Rutherford mortuary whee services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, William Putnam, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
