G.E. GUYBERSON, EX-RAILMAN, DIES

Funeral Service Friday for Former Telegraph Operator.

 

George E. Guyberson, former Michigan Central railroad telegraph operator in Buchanan, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning in Pawating hospital. He had been ill since Saturday of pneumonia.

Mr. Guyberson was a lifelong resident of Berrien county. He was born in Buchanan and lived there until 1921 when he moved to Niles. The Guyberson home is at 74 North St. Joseph avenue.

Mr. Guyberson was a member of the Buchanan Masonic Lodge and the Niles lodge, Modern Woodmen of America.

He leaves his wife, Allie, and one daughter, Mrs. Daniel M. van Noppen, Niles; also three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Rutherford Funeral home. The Rev. Guy W. Simon of the First Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

Guyberson Rites

The Rev. Guy W. Simon will conduct funeral services at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Rutherford funeral home for George E. Guyberson.  Earl Bristol, Frank Chubb, Bryan Treat, Fred Schwartz, Hugh Anderson, Buchanan, and Louis Vandercar, Niles, will serve as pallbearers.  Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.  Mr. Guyberson died Wednesday morning in Pawating hospital following a brief illness.
