The Friends of Silverbrook Cemetery with the Niles City Council's "Veterans' Ultimate Sacrifice" committee, are looking to assist prospective Eagle Scout, Andy Wozniak, in collecting the names of the 104 Niles veterans we know died serving our country form Niles.

We acknowledge that the research into the Civil War may not be complete.  If family lore indicates that your great, great, grandfather from Niles died in the Civil War, we are looking for his name.  Please email their name to searchedits@friendsofsilverbrook.org, so our researchers will verify this, or call Tim Skalla at 269-362-3142.

Those of you wishing to help defray the cost of creating individual crosses and maintenance may do so at City Hall with a deductible donation to "The Veterans Ultimate Sacrifice Fund."  I am sure that Niles' fallen heroes and their families will appreciate this.
