George A. Burnham, 2117 South Thirteenth street road, died at 12:05 a.m. today at the Berrien county hospital, Berrien Center.  He had been ill a short time.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Burnham, of Dowagiac; his wife, Ida; six sisters, Mrs. Harry Symons, of San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Frank Avery. of Newaygo, Mich., Mrs. Lester Dandurand and Mrs. Harvey Farrell, of Dowagiac, and Mrs. Bryan Caraway and Mrs. Vernon Brown, of Niles, and one brother, Charles C. Burnham, of Niles.

Burnham was born Oct. 28, 1893, in Washington, Ia., and came here from Chicago 15 years ago. He was a watchman at the Niles outdoor theater.

Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. John G. Carlton, rector of Trinity Episcopal church. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
