HARRY THURSTON, 30, IS STRICKEN

 

Harry Thurston, 30, who had been in ill health for several years, died Wednesday night at 10 in his home at 1702 North Twelfth street. He leaves his wife, the former Dorothy Sherer, to whom he was married Dec. 24, 1935, and two small children, Larry, three and Mary Ellen, one and a half years old.

Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lena Thurston and a brother, George, both of Niles; an uncle, George Bates, Niles, and an aunt, Mrs. Peter Keller, Homewood, Ill.  Mr. Thurston was born in Elkhart March 15, 1910 but came to Niles with his parents when a year old.

He was graduated from Niles high school with the class of 1929 and was employed as a draftsman by the National-Standard company. He was record keeper for the Maccabee lodge and a member of St. John's Evangelical church.

Friends may call at the Thurston home until the hour of the funeral Saturday afternoon at 2 in St. John's church.  The Rev. Theo Eisen will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
