DEATH THIS MORNING OF MRS. MEYERS
Pioneer and highly esteemed resident is no more
Mrs. Mary Meyers, wife of Christian Meyers passed away shortly before one o'clock this morning at their home two miles west of Niles, where she has resided for the past 30 years. She has been a sufferer from diabetes for the past five years and has been bedridden for over two months.
Mrs. Meyers was 65 years of age on Dec. 22, 1912. she was born in Germany but came to Niles when she was four years of age.
Besides the husband seven children survive her. The are Mrs. Wm. Linsenmier, Mrs. Bruce Parks of Niles, John of Portland, Ore., Edward and Clarence who reside at the old home, Charles and William Meyers of Niles. One daughter, Mrs. Chris Linsenmier, died seven years ago. Two sisters, Mrs. David Young of Niles and Mrs. Dolph Sackman of River Park, Ind., and four brothers, Jacob Neib of Mishawaka, John, Chris and Edward Neib of Niles, and ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Myers was highly esteemed in the community. She was a splendid wife and mother, and many to whom she was a good friend and neighbor, mourn her demise.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the residence. Rev. Yonker of the Presbyterian church will officiate. Interment will occur at Silver Brook cemetery.
