Memorial services for Ruth L. Barker, 74, of 911 S. Third St., Niles, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pifer-Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. Lou Schweppe of St. John's United Church of Christ.
Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery.
Mrs. Barker died at 8:39 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, Ind., after a year's illness.
She was born July 23, 1916, in South Bend, Ind.
On May 24, 1941, in South Bend, she married Charles C. Barker, who preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1995.
She moved to Niles from South Bend in 1945. In 1970, she retired as coordinator of Brandywine High School Hot Lunch Program.
Survivors include two daughters, Judie Vinnedge of Niles, and Sharon Brooks of Stockbridge, Ga; a son, Douglas Barker of Irmo, S.C.; a sister, Vera Korpal of Mishawaka, Ind.; a brother, Eugene Harper of LaPorte, Ind.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
There will be no visitation.
