Mrs. Mary Cochrane Dies After Illness

Mrs. Mary R. Cochrane, 71, died at 2 o'clock Sunday morning at her home two miles west of Niles on the Buchanan road after a two weeks' illness resulting from a stroke of paralysis.

Born in Niles Aug. 18, 1862, she had lived her entire life in this immediate neighborhood.  Surviving are her husband, William Cochrane, two sons, Elmer and Charles Cochrane, both of Niles; two sisters, Mrs. William Swartz, Buchanan, and Mrs. Earl Whitmore, Dowagiac, and a brother, Charles Vetterle, Buchanan.

Following a prayer at the home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock in the Price and Kiger funeral home with the  Rev. G.W. Simon officiating. Interment will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

The G.A.R. Will attend the services in a body.
